TAKAHIRO YOSHIKAWA: pianist
Mr.Takahiro Yoshikawa was born in Nishinomiya, Japan. He graduated in pianoforte in 1996 at the State University of Fine Arts and Music of Tokyo under the guidance of Madam Takako Horie. In 1999 he received a Master degree from the same University under the guidance of Mr.Terugi Karashima, where Mr. Takahiro Yoshikawa was awarded the "Bösendorfer" prize.
In 1993 he attended a Master class given by the renowned pianist Conrad Hansen in Lubeck,Germany. Mr.Takahiro Yoshikawa went on to continue his studies in Italy with Madam Anita Porrini, who was a Student of Alfred Cortot and Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli, as well as attending specialized courses of composition with Madam Silvia Bianchera Bettinelli. From 2001 to 2004 Mr. Takahiro Yoshikawa attended the "Accademia del Teatro alla Scala" (Master class for Orchestra members) under the guidance of Madam Ada Mauri. He has also attended Master classes in Chamber Music, studying and perfoming a vast repertory with the first parts of the La Scala orchestra. Mr. Takahiro Yoshikawa has won numerous international competitions, just to mention a few: "Camillo Togni" (Brescia) second prize (first prize not assigned), "F. Schubert" (Tagliolo Monferrato) first prize, "Città di Grosseto" (Chamber music) first prize, "Paul Harris" (Milan) first prize.
Mr.Takahiro Yoshikawa has held, with remarkable success, recitals and concerts with prominent orchestras and Chamber music group in Europe, Japan and the United States. In Milan Mr. Takahiro Yoshikawa has performed in some of the most prestigious concert halls: La Scala , the Arcimboldi theatre, "Sala Verdi" of the Milan Conservatory , "Dal Verme" and "La Società del Giardino". On several occasions he has performed with the Orchestra del Teatro alla Scala, the Symphonic Orchestra Giuseppe Verdi Milan, the Orchestra del Teatro Donizetti Bergamo and the Orchestra of the Accademia del Tatro alla Scala. He has played with noteworthy musicians of international fame: Paul Connelly (conductor.),Nil Kabaretti (conductor), Stefano Ranzani (conductor), Fabrizio Meloni (clarinet), Domenico Nordio (violin/viola), Ulf Rodenhauser (clarinet), Jacques Zoon (flute), Valentino Zucchiatti (bassoon), i Solisti della Scala, the Quartetto d'Archi della Scala.
In June 2006 he participated in an "Evening of Mozart" (Serata Mozart) at La Scala, where he played the Mozart Piano Concerto K.271"Jeunehomme" and three movements from Mozart piano concerti K.467, K.482, K488 along with the La Scala orchestra directed by Paul Connelly for the La Scala Ballet Company. He received excellent critics from some of the most prestigious journals. In January 2007 he repeated in part the same program during an important Gala event at La Scala. Once again In October he performed at La Scala Mozart piano concerti K.449, K.450, K.488 for "Le Parc".
